Two ways to receive coverage.
Original Medicare includes A and B; you can consider Part D and Medigap separately. Medicare Advantage is an alternative from Medicare-approved private insurers. Networks, costs and benefits vary by plan.

Part D and Medigap

Answers to your questions.
Find answers before comparing or using coverage. Specific conditions are in your policy.
Is Medicare only for people age 65 and older?
It generally starts at 65, but certain disabilities or conditions may allow earlier access. Confirm eligibility with Medicare or Social Security.
What are A, B, C and D?
A is hospital insurance and B is medical insurance. C refers to Medicare Advantage. D is prescription drug coverage.
Is Medicare Advantage the same as Medigap?
No. Advantage is an alternative way to receive Medicare benefits. Medigap helps with certain Original Medicare costs.
Does my doctor accept every Medicare plan?
Accepting Original Medicare does not mean participating in every Advantage network. Check the exact plan with the insurer and provider’s office.
How do I compare my prescriptions?
Check the plan’s drug list, dosages and pharmacy. Review costs and coverage conditions for each medication.
Should I enroll while I am still working?
It depends on employer coverage and your circumstances. Consult your benefits administrator and official instructions before delaying enrollment.
Can I change plans at any time?
Changes depend on enrollment periods and conditions. Confirm the period applicable to your situation on Medicare.gov.
Does Original Medicare include routine dental care and glasses?
It generally does not cover most dental care or routine vision exams. Additional Advantage benefits depend on the plan.
