Life beneficiaries: keep information organized.
Review designations, documents and your insurer’s claims channel.
Review your designations
Check primary and contingent beneficiaries and recorded percentages. If your family circumstances changed, ask the insurer how to update the designation. Telling the agency about a change does not automatically amend the contract.
Make the policy easy to find
Keep the insurer, policy number and official channel in a secure place the responsible person can find. Do not publish these details. For minors, trusts or other special situations, discuss the arrangement with appropriate professionals.
For a claim, follow the official process
The insurer specifies the forms and documents for the case. Ask for the secure channel and keep the tracking reference. National Life has a dedicated claims entry; other insurers may use different procedures. Febres can help locate the contact but does not determine payment.
